The KAIPTC was set up by the Government of Ghana to build upon and share Ghana’s five decades of internationally acclaimed experience in peace operations with other states in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) region, Africa and the rest of the world.

Yes, we do. These are called Mobile Training Teams and this is provided upon formal request to the Commandant of KAIPTC.
The KAIPTC has a strategic focus on training practitioners working in Africa. However, they are exceptions to this if and when the right argument is made.
Most courses have a duration of 10 working days. However we do have courses with different duration, which is mostly the exception than the rule..
You can only access course material on our Learning Management System (LMS) if and only if you are a participant or an alumni of the course..

KAIPTC academic programme comprises of the following:
Candidates with a good Bachelor’s degree (at least 2nd class lower division or above). A background in the conflict, peace and security is an added advantage.
Graduates of our programmes can gain employment in international organizations such as the United Nations, the African Union and the Economic Community of West African States. Graduates can also work in non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, research institutions, security organizations, national peace councils or in analogous institutions.
Currently, KAIPTC runs only weekend courses for the EMCPS. However, there are plans to introduce evening programmes.
Classes run from 0830 hrs — 1800 hrs from Monday to Friday for the MCPS and MGPS programmes and 1300 hrs – 2000 hrs on Fridays and 0900 hrs – 1500 hrs on Saturdays for the EMCPS.
No. KAIPTC charges tuition fees, which covers lectures, and coffee breaks and lunch on lecture days
Tuition fees for Masters courses are GH¢15,500 for Ghanaians and US$6,000 for foreigners. Tuition fees for the PhD programme are GH¢10,000 for Ghanaians and US$6000 for foreigners.

Unfortunately scholarships are not available.
Payment in instalments is allowed, however, KAIPTC encourages full payment.
KAIPTC does not charge for its publications. Publications can be downloaded for free on the Centre’s website.

The Library does not have eBooks in its OPAC.
The library has an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) facility that enables staff to borrow materials from partner Libraries for patrons.
You pay a fine based on how long you kept the book after the due date.
In order to have access to the electronic databases while you are outside the Centre, you must first of all, complete a registration form at the Off- Centre portal (Staff/ Student). The data provided allows the system to authenticate your username and password. The Library provides printing, photocopying and comb binding services at subsidized rates.
